Gedalia Vinokurov was introduced to Mr. Morton Shapiro, owner of Sameric Corporation, when Sameric had already engaged another architectural firm for many years. During his first meeting, Gedalia was able to show Mr. Shapiro how to increase the number of seats from 1,400 to 1,703 in an existing building which was converted to an Eric movie theatre in Harrisburg, PA. From that point on, Gedalia designed all new Eric movie theatres until Sameric was sold to United Artists.
